Tom Jakovac
was an All-Conference and All-City Quarterback at Gabriel’s High School and had
a fine football career at Alma College as well.
He was a four time all-MIAA Conference Quarterback, a Team MVP, a league
MVP and an honorable mention College All-American player.
He was previously
inducted as a member of the 1965 Gabriel’s Football Team and is a member of the
Alma College Hall of Fame.
Dave DeMarco
had high praise for him as a coach also.
As Mr.
Jakovac is deceased, his widow, Mary Ellen, accepted the induction. She thanked the Hall of Fame as well as his
high school coaches and family, who contributed a lot to his growth as a person
and as an athlete.
